人の日記を覗き見る君は日記を書くのに何故マイクが必要なのか疑問に思っているだろう。

You, who peek into people's diaries, are probably wondering why you need a microphone to write your diary.

その答えは…はっきりとした答えは私にも分からない。

The answer is...I don't have a clear answer either.

でも日記を書くときは心の中で声を出しているような気がしない？

But when you write in your journal, don't you feel like you are speaking from your heart?

だから心のマイクが必要だと思ったんだ。それだけさ。

So I thought I needed a microphone for my mind. That's it.

さて、日記をここに書き始めた理由は２つある。

Now, I started writing my diary here for two reasons.

１つは単純に書きたかったから。人の日記って覗きたくならない？

One is simply because I wanted to write. Don't you want to peek into other people's diaries?

もっとも、こんなにインターネットは広いから、私の日記を見つけるのはきっと砂漠の中で古代遺跡を見つけ出すようなものだと私は思うけどね。

However, the Internet is such a big place, I am sure that finding my diary will be like finding ancient ruins in the desert.

もう１つは私のブログの初めてのフォロワーが日本語を勉強しているということ。

Another is that my first follower of my blog is studying Japanese.

彼か彼女かがこの日記を見つけるかは運命の女神様次第だけど、もしその気まぐれでここに辿り着いたのであれば、私はその人にとってネイティブな日本語を翻訳と一緒に置いておけば役に立つんじゃないかって考えた。

Whether he or she will find this diary is up to fate, but I figured that if he or she has arrived here on that whim, it would be helpful if I left some native Japanese for him or her, along with a translation.

だからなるべく口語訳のように書くし、日記に関しては必ず翻訳を一緒に載せる。

Therefore, I try to write as much as possible as if it were a colloquial translation, and as for the diary, I always put the translation together.

まぁ…そんなことがあるかはわかんないけどね。
